The Data Browser presents, queries, sorts and exports feature properties in an OpenCities Map session. It also includes a Search tool which is used to find records in the Data Browser as well as search for properties in Import and Spatial Connection data sources..

The search tool queries the selected data sources for feature instances that meet the defined criteria.

A feature class denotes the name of a feature type on a map. For example Road or Property.

A feature instance denotes a specific instance or object in the database or map. For example a property with ID=12789 or a road segment with Name=Wall Street and ID=4695.
